Overview of Experience

I am currently working as a paralegal for Life Science Law.

My most recent secondment is to the legal team at Amicus Therapeutics and so far, I’m loving it! The role is predominantly remote working and partly based at their International headquarters in Marlow.

I am now training to qualify as a UK Solicitor. I have a law degree and I am now studying for the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examinations as well as gaining experience working as a parlegal for Life Science Law.

I have recently changed my careers, having spent over a decade working as a senior broadcast journalist for leading news networks such as the BBC, Al Jazeera and China’s Global Television Network. I wrote and reported on news stories covering global business, political and current affairs.

Track Record

I have been working as a paralegal for Life Science Law since April and have recently begun an ongoing secondment to the legal team at Amicus Therapeutics at their International headquarters in Marlow.

Here I am assisting with drafting and negotiating a broad variety of agreements including HCP and Consultancy Agreements, Intercompany Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Statements of Work. This involves collaborating with business stakeholders and processing contract requests within a contract management system.

I am also supporting Life Science Law with its Regulatory Updates Service which provides developments and advancements in the Laws and Regulations affecting the Life Science Industry across the globe. These updates include providing one of our clients with a dedicated service to provide updates to the changing regulatory landscape surrounding decentralised clinical trials (remote and digital) across a number of International Jurisdictions, including the APAC region.

I have strong oral communication skills for collaborating with business stakeholders in the Life Sciences. In my previous career as a journalist, I was required to write complex stories and orally present them in an accessible manner to a lay audience. I have led multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced newsrooms and can effectively prioritise tasks for business needs.

I have lived in the UK, Qatar, Singapore and New Zealand and take great pleasure in working in International, multidisciplinary teams.
